This is a true story about something that happened to me and my friends when
I was 14. I want to share it to help other people stay safe from this kind of

One Friday night, my girlfriends and I were sitting around wondering what to
do, when the phone rang. It was a friend of ours from another school. She wanted
to know if we wanted to go to a party at her friend’s house. We didn’t
know her friend but we thought, why not, we could meet some new people (maybe
even some guys!!!) We got all dressed up to go. We got in the car and we were
on our way. When we pulled up to the party, there was loud music, nice cars
and smoke everywhere. We all hopped out and when to the front door. At the front
door, we were greeted by a crew of guys. But we weren’t greeted with the
normal “hi” or “hello” but to our surprise, they said “fresh
meat”, “ho’s”, “young ho’s”.

This made my stomach turn right over. But we thought, whatever, and went inside.
There were a lot of older guys inside. Like a lot older. They ranged anywhere
from 16 to 20 yrs old. Once we were there, we started to drink our wine that
we brought. We had 2 bottles between three of us. We were almost done our wine
when our friend wanted to show us around. We put our drinks on the ledge and
were off. When we came back, we had one more gulp and it was gone.

We decided to dance and mingle. We had only been dancing for 10 –20 minutes
when it hit us like a tonne of bricks. We were sloshed. (We didn’t think
anything of it at the time but the next morning we wondered how we got so drunk
on only 2 bottles of wine.) We felt so cool. We were dancing and having fun.
There were guys dancing and introducing themselves to us. We felt so cool.

After we had been dancing for a while, one guy asked me if I wanted to go to
the bedroom with him. He was really nice so I said, why not. I don’t remember
what the room looked like or how long I was there. But I do remember waking
up with this guy on top of me. I still had all my clothing on but that didn’t
seem to matter. He was looking at me in a way that made me feel horrible inside.
I pushed him off and asked him if he knew how old I was. He told me that he
knew I was 19, same as him. I told him that I was 14. He got up and left.

I decided I needed to go find my friends. Someone told me that they were down
the street at a park with some college guys. I ran to the end of the street
where I saw my friends with seven other guys. (There was only two of them.)
One of my friends was on the ground passed out. Some guy was on top of her.
My other friend was sitting on the ground, there was a guy next to her, with
his pants undone.

I ran to my friend on the ground and got the guy off her. He was really mad.
He told me to &*!% off. But I was too busy trying to get my friend to stand
up. I finally got her up and go my other friend away from the other guy. We
ran back to the party and called one of my friend’s mom to pick us up.

As we were waiting, the guy I was with in the room came up to me and told me
he didn’t care how old I was. I told him to &*!% off and after a while,
he did.

When we got home that night, we went straight to bed. The next morning, we awoke
to the phone ringing. It was one of the guys from the party. He asked me if
we had fun at the party and we said no. He was surprised because he said most
people on drugs have fun. We told him we didn’t do any drugs, we just drank.
Then he told us he saw some guy from his school put drugs in our drinks. He
said he didn’t do anything about it because he thought we had asked the
guys to do it.

I didn’t think this could happen to me.
